 CHILDREN'S CHURCH

“Let the little children come to me, For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Dear Parents or Guardians::

We would like to welcome you and your family to LifeSong Baptist Church! It is an honor to assist you in the teaching of your children about our wonderful Savior Jesus. We are committed to teaching your child the Word of God and to let them know that Jesus loves them.

LifeSong Baptist Children's Church is committed to give every child that comes through our doors the opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We desire for every child to know that he or she is loved by God, and loved by us, as we serve them through the teaching of the Bible.

Our Mission

We will present the Word of God in an understandable manner, strive to provide a strong foundation, and inspire life application by preparing each child to serve God joyfully.

Our Vision:

Our children’s church program is to teach, touch, and win children’s hearts for Jesus, and make an eternal difference in their lives as well as their families, by loving them today. Directors: Millie Engler and Kim Reynolds.

The Bible states that the responsibility of Christian education belongs to the family (Duet. 6:5-9, Prov. 22:6, Eph. 6:4), but as a church we need to be a strong encouragement and support to the families that entrust their children to our care.

The LifeSong Baptist Children's Church is committed to the following goals:

• To provide Jesus Christ's example of Love and acceptance to the kids we minister to.
• To create a fun and interesting atmosphere for the children to enjoy.
• To teach age appropriate lessons that interest and challenges each age group.
• To evangelize children to give them the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
• To encourage children to share their Savior with their family, friends, and others.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH WISH LIST

There will be times when we send out a wish list for supplies. We are a new and young church and are starting from scratch on materials. We appreciate any gifts or donations that come our way.

SERVICES

Children’s church is designed for school age children (5 years to 10 years of age, usually that is kindergarten to 5th grade). We provide a nursery for the younger children.

Children will be dismissed from the congregation when the choir is dismissed. The teachers will be waiting to escort the children back to the children’s church room. We are located towards the back of the church close to the office, before you get to the fellowship hall.

We do not have children’s church on fifth Sunday, so that all can participate in the service together.

There will be times that the children will not meet, but an announcement will be made in the bulletins. Such times include: baptisms, a child professing their salvation before the church, and other special family times.

PRECIOUS GIFTS
Since we have been blessed to teach your “precious gifts”, we want to reassure you that your children’s safety is also a priority. We ask that you come to the back to pick them up and let us see you and get to know you as well. That will help us not only on safety, but with fellowship and sharing what all we have done for Jesus. Kids love to share!

Directors’ Note

KIM:
I wanted to introduce myself, since some of you may not know me either. My name is Kim Reynolds and I am also the director of children’s church here at LifeSong Baptist Church. I have been blessed to be called a Christian, wife, mother, nonnie, and now a director of children’s ministry. It is my job to be a living example of Christ’s love for one another. The Lord gives us all gifts and one of mine is love and it is my goal is that each child that comes through our door knows that we love them.

MILLIE:
I wanted to introduce myself, since some of you may not know me. My name is Millie Engler and I am one of the directors of children’s church here at LifeSong Baptist Church. I have a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and middle school certification from the University of Central Arkansas. I have been an educator in the public school system since 1999. But my greatest credential is being a Christian and a parent. Kim and I have been friends for years and it is a blessing to be able to serve the Lord alongside her.
